LEVEL: HARD

This route takes you into the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the historic, picturesque villages of Muston, Hunmanby, Fordon, Wold Newton, Thwing, Kilham, Boynton, Grindale and Reighton.

It’s well worth stopping at a few to explore the old architecture, photogenic ponds, or pop into one of the many cozy pubs.

There can be a lack of refreshment stops out of season, so we would recommend checking, if you plan on relying on these.

The roads are largely quiet country lanes, once you have left Muston.

The return route brings you back a short distance along the busy A165 and, if you would prefer to avoid this, there is a shared cycle path along the A165.

There are a couple of challenging climbs, for those unaccustomed to any hilly terrain, but well worth it for the miles of stunning Wold views they afford you.
