LEVEL: MODERATE
The route takes you largely on the coastal path (the end/start point of the Cleveland Way) and, as such is well-signed and the path well-defined.
The path passes close to the edge of steep cliffs at times so do take extra care.
There are a number of steep descents and climbs.
It is not a circular route as such but does take you along slightly different paths at each end so you can enjoy different views, though you can return by exactly the same route if you would prefer.
Refreshment stops can be found in Filey, Cayton Bay and, if you take the circular marked route at Cayton, along a short section of quiet road at Cayton, you can also enjoy Redcliffe Farm with its farm and gift shop and cafe.
