Idyllically located at the end of Filey’s famous Victorian Crescent, the White Lodge enjoys unsurpassed views of Filey Bay and Brigg from the majority of the rooms as well as from the bar, lounge, and restaurant. Filey is a hidden gem on the Yorkshire Coast with miles of beach to enjoy and explore – yet only seven miles south of the historic and popular resort of Scarborough and eight miles north of the world famous RSPB Reserve and Bempton Cliffs.
The hotel has twenty double en-suite rooms; a restaurant, bar and residents lounge as well as a large outside terrace. A private dining room for parties and special events is also available.
The terrace is enjoyed in the summer sunshine and many wrap up to enjoy it in the cooler months. Or sit by one of the real log fires in the lounge while enjoying a coffee or a cognac. For the more adventurous, take a long walk along the expansive beach, cycle down country lanes, go for a paddle in the rock pools or build sand castles.

Our Bedrooms – Twenty one ensuite bedrooms
Most of the bedrooms have been decorated with a subtle seaside accent. Our beds are sourced from Yorkshire based Harrison Spinks, wallpaper from Jessica Hogarth of Whitby and artwork from Staithes artist Ian Mitchell.
As the hotel sits in a beautiful setting, most of our rooms have sea views, some with balconies, some combining a Crescent view, others overlook the leafy Glen Gardens.
The hotel began life as a Victorian villa, affording each room its own unique character and charm. All bedrooms have en suite facilities, some with both a shower and a bath, others with a shower.
Naturally, all rooms come with a television, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer and toiletries. The hotel also benefits from a lift to all floors; unfortunately the lift does not have wheelchair access.
Relax in the Chart Room Bar
Our welcoming bar has a well-curated selection of wines, beers and spirits.
The wine offering focusses on wines that are not slavishly from the New World or stubbornly from the Old. Whilst a New Zealand Viognier maybe present, you won’t have to look too hard to find a reliable claret.
Expect to see a good selection of single malt Scotch whiskies, plus a decent smattering from further afield. Of course, gin lovers are not ignored and whilst we can’t boast five hundred for you to pour over, the ones we have picked reflect extensive research!
We have a policy across our range to only sell, what we would term, premium spirits. So expect even our bar gin to be Tanqueray and our house vodka to be Stolichnaya.
