What is the Filey Tourism & Trade Association

The FTTA is for Filey business owners who collectively aim to positively promote tourism & recognise the importance of trade in Filey Town centre & surrounding area.  Filey Tourism and Trade Constitution last amended 2024.

What do we do?

• Aim to provide support & suggestions towards progressive development of the Tourist & Trade industry in the Filey area.
• Work with other organisations, groups & individuals to achieve these objectives.
• Support local events and groups by offering sponsorship/funding donations, at which it displays a banner to advertise members through the Website & Facebook.
• Provide mutual support in the form of professional advice & friendship to all members.
• Promote other opportunities for members to advertise.

What does the £50* annual membership of the FTTA include?

• Promotion of your business and local events through a dedicated Website: www.fileytourism.co.uk – Includes your choice of photo, contact details, link to your own website and you can update your ad to include special offers etc.
• FTTA has a very active Facebook page/Social media use – we share appropriate information when individual Members ask it to be shared from their own social media, to extend advertising of information on FTTA Facebook page, Instagram & Twitter – just ask our Social Media Rep to share specific posts.
• A plaque to display at your business
• Membership card for discounts/SHA discounts.
• Invite to attend Monthly meetings (except Summer months) held in Filey, in the first week of the month.
  You will be emailed an agenda prior to the meeting and the Minutes following the meeting. * This is an excellent opportunity to share information about events or topics relevant to everyone in Filey, share ideas and ask for support to implement ideas that benefit/ promote Filey; encourage visitors or inform locals, link with Town Council & discuss/raise awareness of wider issues that affect Filey.

  Our memberships are flexible and no contract – meaning you can cancel at any time – because of this we would usually take a deposit month up front and an admin fee.

  We would be happy to offer you and your members membership with no upfront fees (saving up to £39.99 per person). All we would do is then set up their monthly direct debit.

  We would also be happy to provide a health check drop in session if this is something your members have an appetite for. We could arrange a day where your members can drop in and have some health checks carried out and have a discussion with our health and wellbeing team regarding their fitness/exercise levels, their diet etc.

• Associate membership of Scarborough Hospitality Association (SHA)(Invites to SHA Free events and discounts at a range of local suppliers).
